Day 19

Nothing like waiting until the last possible moment. Tonight's moon was beautiful, wasn't it? And, today was the first day we've seen the sun for... a week or so now! It's been so overcast and icky.

Here is my photo of the moon. I had no idea which lens to use, what shutter speed, what setting.. sigh. This is what I liked best. The moon's not clear, it's just an eerie glow.

Nice job! I spent my night doing the moon as well. I got a whole lot of big balls of light! LOL

I love this! Fantastic! The red cast is from the moon too, or a street light?

I know nothing about moon pics either, but this definitely is eerie, and I like it!

Thanks, guys! I wasn't too sure about this one... the light on the branches are from a street light by a church. And ya, I got a few balls of light also. I just kept switching settings like a maniac.

Kara, this is really pretty!

Since I didn't step outside of my house past 3pm yesterday, I didn't realize there was such a beautiful moon to be seen! But, maybe in real life this was as clear as it appeared? So perhaps there wasn't a way to make it more clear because of the fog? Had you tried any with a higher aperture to bring the moon more into focus, or does raising the aperture not work in this situation?

Well, despite not knowing what lens to use or what settings needed to be adjusted, it's safe to say you nailed it.
