Day 67

I love antiques! I love old scales, clocks, keys, old boxes.. you get the point. I also love garage sales. I love the excitement of hopping out of the car, digging through an old box of people's old junk, to find treasures that I will display proudly! Here is a recent summer garage sale find, an old scale, and it sits beside my stove for me to enjoy every day.

I didn't chart my budding outside, I just wasn't home. My day pretty much went like my day on Saturday, so lots of running kids everywhere.

Nice shot, and, yes, it is always exciting to find a treasure!

Cool scale and great composition. Do you watch Antique Roadshow or American Pickers? My husband is in love with both of those. He likes finding hidden treasures too.

So cool, is it a little one or a good size one? Is it usable? It's so neat looking, I just love the old antique feel to it!

I love it! Garage sales are so fun to go to... two years ago I found a huge toboggan for $15. My husband's dream sled. He was so excited!

I love the grain and soft light on this shot! Makes it look even more antiquated!

So funny! This is actually what the face looks like and the cover is old and scratched. It does work, and yes! I love American Pickers!! My dream job! ;) I'm jealous of the toboggan, and the soft light is Florabella "Milk" it just lightened it since it was night in my dimly lit kitchen.

and yes, it works!

American Pickers is one of my new faves. I'm a thrift store shopper, personally; garage sales make me uncomfortable. I love this scale, I actually use one just like it at my families restaurant when I bake.

I LIVE for garage sales in the summer! I'm counting down the days until the sales start again around here. I love your find and how you photographed it!
