Day 64

No budding shots today! The ground was covered with snow. :) Yay, us!!!

I was out an about as little one had that (4 hour!) callback. So I went to Starbucks and loved catching up on some of your blogs! Then I caught up on a couple emails, caught up on some Caramel Macchiato...you know. If I didn't make it to your blog in the past couple days, let me know! I'd love to see them.. if you don't see yourself in my blog feed on the right side of my page, holler at me and I'll add you too!

I love love love (LOVE) train track shots. What is it about the tracks? Maybe because you're not supposed to actually be on them, or the mystery of where it's going.. What about the soothing repetition of each rail tie? I love it.. here's another tribute to the train tracks going around the blogs.

I'm totally digging railroad shots and you did a fabulous job with this one! They remind me of growing up. Our house was by a train track. Boo snow! I was so disappointed that it snowed here too :(

Very nice! BUT as a wife of a Locomotive Engineer, I have to say BE CAREFUL! :) It is crazy how many people my husband comes up on.

Very nice shot! I love how well you captured them at this time of day; the coloring with the subtle lights in the background is really effective. Now your making me want to try some again at night! Great job.

I love the bokeh. The lighting and the perspective. Beautiful!
My husband is a host, (conductor), on our full sized heavy rail train here, and those things are quiet....and they move FAST! So yes, DO be careful.

Sounds like a great day, Kara!

And this is a stunning shot of railroad tracks! I especially like the lights in the background - just a tiny bit of color in an otherwise monochromatic photo.

My childhood home backed up to tracks. As a children, my sister and I would always play by them, (bet my mom loved that) putting small stones and pennies on the rail so the train could flatten them. We would hunt for railroad ties and try to get the push cart to move.

She still lives in that home and we often take the dogs for a walk down the tracks.

Excellent shot, really like your DOF and how the station is blurred. It would be anyones station in any town. Nicely done.
