Childhood Toys Project - This was fun! I only have one childhood toy. But, this isn't the actual castle I had. While it's missing the flag that stood tall about proud, and made a very fun sound when you pulled it, it is from Fisher Price from 1974 and in decent shape. My SIL and I found it on our annual drive through her neighborhood in on spring clean-up day. I screeched to a halt and said, "I've got to have that!" My brother and I would play with this for hours. We would drop everything we could find down the dungeon drop at the top of the castle. Many toys would endure their fate for days and months on end in that little gated jail. We would also hide anything that would fit behind the secret staircase. My mom still has our original castle back and home, and it's held strong through the ages of it's knights and queens, to Barbies, Strawberry Shortcakes, and Spiderman figures.
This was fun to photograph, and also fun to make look a little erie and scary. Great project!

Very mystical looking... great shot!
Awesome!
Such a cool castle! I had the house and the barn... lots of fun.
Cool castle, so much better than just a house.
Oh my gosh, I totally remember this castle! I love it!!
What a fun toy and I love the story that goes with the find and of your childhood; your kids will really appreciate this when they are older. Now that my Mom is gone, I have so many questions about her past that I wish I would have asked her, so it's good to record stuff just in case your's want to know more about you when you're not here to tell them.
Love the story behind it~ and the smokey texture is perfect for the castle!
Oh how cool. Love your story and love the smokey effect you achieved with textures.
What a great toy and great story!
Cool editing/shots.
I remember that castle - we bought the newer version for my kids years ago.
i LOVE this...and the edit!! I regret giving it away. I should have saved it for my grandchildren. I got rid of everything when they announced that some children had choked on the little people. I do not think that the new little people are as cute
I just love vintage toys especially ones with memories!
Very cool. I like all the little sticker details!
Awesome!! Love the effects!
Love the dreamy feeling of these.
I love this! I wish I would have had pictures of some of my toys from growing up. I like to go look them up on Ebay for old time's sake.
We had this castle at my grandma's and it was my absolute favorite! Thanks for sharing!!
