Day 277

On our photo walk, I couldn't get over the fire escapes. They are so vintage looking, so primal, but something you'd desperately need in an emergency. I wonder how often they are actually used? Maybe only in movies? I've never seen anyone on one, but I just think, "what would you do without them?"

Something just drew me in on this. The lighting? The emptiness? In a city that's so bustling with excitement, no movement to be seen here.

Okay, enough deep thinking...

Thanks for your nice comment about my snail. I like this shot of yours. Funny how we get ideas in our heads sometimes about a city or place. When I think Chicago I think of pollution, wind and frigid weather in the winter etc. My daughter went there a year ago and she got pictures of some of the most fabulous things I have ever seen! What a beautiful place! Now, I hope to see it some day.

I love fire escapes too, and for the same reasons! Come to think of it, I have never seen anyone on them either....

Great shot! I *love* the light and b/w conversion!

Cool shot. Didja know? They don't exist here in Europe.
