Bunny trails!! Well, I got the little foot prints, but not exactly the "trail." When I took photos of the trails, it lost it's cuteness and integrity of the shot. I love the single print!
So, you can humor me a little. Once again, we have SNOW! Oh yes, and expecting more tonight. We don't live in Alaska, people! We live in the midwest! But, this is what I'm faced with lately. I think my husband was a little disappointed in the wow factor. But, (as I'm sure he's preparing to do his own 365 next year..not! LOL) I explained to him it's not about outdoing another photo, it's about doing the photo you take really well! Or attempting to work on something and practice it over and over until you get it right.
Day 56
Settings: Don't really matter, because I had to lighten the lights and darken the darks. I really need some help in the snow department, I think! :)
But, here they are. My failed attempt.
ISO 1oo, f/4, ss 1/1000, 50 mm
any thoughts on what I could have changed?

Super cute...yeah, when I take snow shots, I usually come back and do a custom WB on my picture to make sure the snow is white. That's my suggestion! ;)
Sweet shot!
Awesome that you captured bunny tracks! So, meter for the snow to be white. Meaning, your camera when it meters, sees the white snow and wants to turn it gray because it is too bright. So it tells you a meter reading that would make the snow gray, and hence the footprints really dark. If you meter for the snow and then got two or three stops below what it tells you to do, either by slowing the shutter speed or opening the aperture, the snow will be bright and white and the footprints more defined.
I think. At least that is what I heard when I was paying attention in photography class :)
But, I still stink at snow photos, so what do I know :)
Cute - and yep been hearing about your snow :brr:
I think it is cute!
This is adorable. I hate snow, we don't get a long. I have a hard time shooting it so my guess on settings is as good as yours! :) Love this though.
I don't have any suggestions for metering, but I do love the composition on this shot. Nice job...and sorry you're getting more snow. I with we could get more here, but we're getting into the 80's already!
Such a cute shot!
I wish I had suggestions for making the snow look less blue- the only thing I do is play with the WB- sometimes cloudy warms up the blue a bit.
Cute feet :)
Great eye that you caught these tracks. Everything that Amanda says is what I would also say. I do get too lazy to meter though!
